I was born and spent my formative years in Israel. After serving in the Israeli army for 2 years, I resettled in London where I continued my studies, gaining exposure to various media including drawing, bronze, clay, glass, and oil on wood, all of it leading me to paint with my favorite… oil on canvas, my true and forever artistic home.

I came to America and for 4 years attended art schools under several masters and teachers in Boston, and for 26 years in western Mass. I took classes at the University of Massachusetts and Mount Holyoke College and eventually met the renowned contemporary American painter Gregory Gillespie. Under his expert tutelage I honed my craft and deepened my artistic vision focusing exclusively on oil on canvas. I find myself drawn to the human face, and feel compelled to express through my paintings what I observe and feel about the interplay between the face and the spirit that moves behind and animates it. The ineffable spirit of life itself.

I continue to be fascinated by the creative process – by the wonder of artistic creation, it is that fascination more than anything that I wish to communicate to all that happen upon my work. My paintings have been exhibited at the University of Massachusetts and in galleries throughout New England and in San Miguel de Allende Mexico, and may be found in a number of private collections as well.

I encourage you to browse, peruse, contemplate and feel what my paintings convey. Enjoy the journey.
